Walnut Motenia is a very hard and durable wood. The wood is left to dry naturally for three and a half years which gives these snare drums a robust powerful sound with a dark tonal quality. Even with the 14 “x 4” or 4.5 “ there remains an aura of low frequency that supports and gives depth to the more acute dry timbre typical of these sizes. Ideal for those who want the “funky” full-bodied sound.
