Born in Marano Principato (CS) on 18/03/1975. He graduated in 2003 from the Conservatory “N. Piccinni ”in Bari under the guidance of M ° Luigi Morleo with the highest honors and special mention for the drum technique; in Jazz Music with Maestro Nicola Pisani at the “S. Giacomantonio ”of Cosenza. He obtained the 2nd Level Academic Diploma (DM137-2007) at the “F. Torrefranca ”of Vibo Valentia; he also holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Calabria. He studied with Alfredo Golino (Drums), NJZivkovic, Jean Jeoffory (Marimba), Ney Rosauro (Vibraphone), Marta Klimasara, Peter Sadlo (Multi Percussion). He deepened the orchestral repertoire with Mike Quinn (Boston Sinphony, Teatro alla Scala) and Michael Rosen (Oberlin Conservatory); Timpani with A. Buonomo; Folklore percussions and frame drums with Davide Torrente. He exhibited himself by winning numerous National and International Competitions, including: Drum Open Competition (FE), AMA Calabria (CZ), Onde Musicali (Taranto), Società Umanitaria (MI), TIM, (France) MusicAtri European Competition (PE ), Ars Nova (TE), “Don Matteo Colucci” (BR), Ibla Grand Prix Competition (New York) and many others. It boasts prestigious collaborations with various conductors including: P. Bellugi, PG Morandi, L. Quadrini, P. Maag, G. Tournaire, C. Palleschi, R. Ortolani, M. Bufalini, L. Wagner and numerous others . He is first percussionist of the Orchestra of the Province of Catanzaro but he has collaborated and still collaborates, also with the Petruzzelli Theater Orchestra of Bari, the Symphonic-Light Orchestra of RAI-TV, the Mediterranean Philarmonia of Cosenza, the Orchestra of the Theater Municipal “F. Cilea ”of Reggio C., the“ Roma-Sinfonietta ”Orchestra and the Jazz Orchestra of the“ S. Giacomantonio ”of Cosenza. He has collaborated with several artists of the Italian “light” music scene including: Petra Magoni, Mimmo Locasciulli, Francesco Baccini, Davide De Marinis, Carlotta, Rossana Casale, Antonella Ruggiero, Milva, Paolo Vallesi.

As a solist, as well as in various formations, he has played in numerous theaters and concert halls including: Parco della Musica di Roma (Sala Petrassi, Sala Sinopoli), Shanghai Concert Hall, Beijng University Hall, Guangzhou Concert Hall, Hefey Opera House, Teatro Mancinelli of Orvieto, “A.Rendano” Theater of Cosenza, Ariston Theater of Sanremo, Angioino Theater of Mola di Bari, Theater Municipal de Tarascon (France), International Theater Frankfurt (Germany), Kinsborough Community College Brooklyn (USA), Salone degli Frescoes of Milan, Duino Castle (TS), Auditorium “S.Chiara” Trento, Gaffurio Hall in Lodi, Auditorium of the Infiorata in Genzano (Rome) Grandinetti Theater of Lamezia Terme (CZ), Auditorium “Vallisa” Bari, Auditorium “S .Bernardino “Rossano (CS), Auditorium-Cloister” S.Chiara “Foggia, Umberto Theater of Lamezia Terme (CZ),Politeama Theater of Catanzaro etc. He plays in Duo with the percussionist Attilio Terlizzi (Moter Duo), and with the pianist Giusy Caruso. He is part of the Wharol Percussion Quartet and the Grooveria Percussion Ensemble , where he holds the role of conductor and soloist. He boasts several collaborations with jazz players of the caliber of Sandro Satta, Nicola Pisani, Attilio Zanchi, Ettore Fioravanti, Marco Sannini, Giuseppe Spagnoli, Felice Mezzina, Egidio Ventura and others. He has recorded for the labels Sarx Records, Papageno Editore, Wide Sound, Phoenix-Classics , as well as for Vatican Radio, where in April 2009 he was the protagonist of a live interview-concert at the studios of the same Radio. Since 2006 he has been Tutor of jazz drums and percussion courses at the “S. Giacomantonio ”of Cosenza. In 2006, he received the ARTS Award from MIUR, as Best Percussionist of the Italian Conservatories. He has to his credit many articles and reviews published in newspapers and magazines in the sector, as well as news agencies including: ADN Kronos, Gazzetta del Sud, Quotidiano della Calabria, Il Domani, Suonare News, Percussioni, Il Resto del Carlino, Repubblica, Classic Voice , The newspaper of Sicily, etc. He teaches Percussion Instruments at the “U. Giordano” Conservatory of Rodi Garganico (FG). Tarcisio MOLINARO is an international endorser for UFIP cymbals, PREMIER drums, MEINL percussion and accessories.
